LEGO has put its first three Batman sets for 2027 on LEGO.com: two minifigure-scale Batmobiles and a wall-art portrait of The Joker. All three are open for pre-order now and ship from 1 January 2027.

Set Pieces Age Eurozone UK US
67009 Arkham Batman Batmobile 317 9+ €29.99 £26.99 $29.99
67008 Batman Returns Batmobile & Duck 672 9+ €59.99 £54.99 $59.99
67012 The Joker Wall Art Comic Cover 1,849 18+ €169.99 £149.99 $169.99

Those are launch prices, and for two of the three our own tracking says launch prices are not what these sets end up costing. The numbers are below.

LEGO 67008 Batman Returns Batmobile and The Penguin's Duck with Batman minifigure

67008 Batman Returns Batmobile & Duck — €59.99

The 1992 film's Batmobile, at minifigure scale, with the one feature that defines that car: it converts into the Batmissile, the narrow form it takes to squeeze through a gap. The second build is The Penguin's Duck, the giant rubber-duck vehicle, in yellow with wing doors that open so the figure can sit inside.

  • 672 pieces, two minifigures: Batman and The Penguin
  • Batmobile: about 20 cm long and 5 cm high
  • Duck: about 11 cm high and 11 cm long
  • Supports Build Together in the LEGO Builder app, so two people can build at once
  • Includes a code for a Golden Red Brick in the video game LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight

It is the second Batman Returns Batmobile in four months. The first, 76355 Batman Returns Batmobile, is the 2,271-piece display model that came out in September at €209.99. That one has not been discounted at all yet — every one of the 10 European shops we track still lists it at RRP. 67008 is the same car for people who want to play with it, or who would rather spend €60 than €210.

At RRP, 67008 works out at 8.9 cents per piece.

67009 Arkham Batman Batmobile — €29.99

The Batmobile from the Arkham video games: low, wide and armoured. LEGO has given it working suspension, a cockpit for the caped Batman minifigure and a rear panel that lifts off to reveal a storage compartment.

  • 317 pieces, one minifigure: Batman
  • About 16 cm long, 8 cm wide and 7 cm high
  • Same Golden Red Brick game unlock as 67008

What a €29.99 Batmobile actually costs

LEGO sold three Batmobiles at exactly this price in 2026. Here is where they are today:

Set Pieces RRP Cheapest now vs RRP Shops
76332 The Batman Batmobile 330 €29.99 €20.54 −32% 37
76331 Batman v Superman Batmobile 220 €29.99 €20.54 −32% 33
76333 Batman & Robin Batmobile 272 €29.99 €27.99 −7% 10
67009 Arkham Batman Batmobile 317 €29.99 — — pre-order

Two of the three are a third cheaper than LEGO's price, at more than thirty shops each. The one that has barely moved is the one fewer shops carry. A €29.99 Batmobile that gets wide distribution has, so far, been a €20 Batmobile within the year.

On pieces, 67009 is good value for the tier: 317 pieces is 9.5 cents each at RRP, against 9.1 for The Batman Batmobile, 11.0 for Batman & Robin and 13.6 for Batman v Superman.

The same pattern holds one size up. 76304 Batman Forever Batmobile launched at €99.99 and is now €65.66 — 34% off — across 33 shops.

67012 The Joker Wall Art Comic Cover — €169.99

The adult set of the three. It recreates the cover of Detective Comics #880 (2011): The Joker's face in black, white and red, his hair breaking apart into a swarm of bats. It is built in relief rather than flat — the eyes and other features stand out from the surface — and measures 51 cm high, 38 cm wide and 5 cm deep. It can hang on a wall or stand on a shelf.

  • 1,849 pieces, 18+, no minifigures

How it is priced against LEGO's other wall art

This is a DC set, not part of the LEGO Art range, but it is the same kind of product at the same size — so the comparison is fair, and it is not flattering:

Set Pieces RRP Per piece at RRP Cheapest now
67012 The Joker Wall Art 1,849 €169.99 9.2c pre-order
31218 Japanese Cherry Blossom Landscape 1,892 €119.99 6.3c €79.99
31216 Keith Haring – Dancing Figures 1,773 €119.99 6.8c €86.99
31208 Hokusai – The Great Wave 1,810 €99.99 5.5c €80.90
31213 Mona Lisa 1,503 €99.99 6.7c €80.90

The Joker costs €50 more than Japanese Cherry Blossom Landscape for 43 fewer pieces. Some of that is the DC licence, and piece counts are a rough yardstick for sets like these — a relief build uses a different mix of parts from a mosaic. But the gap is large enough to say it plainly: at €169.99 this is expensive for what is in the box.

What LEGO's wall art does after launch is the other half of the picture. The nine LEGO Art sets released since 2023 that at least ten shops stock sit at a median of 30% below RRP. If The Joker gets the same distribution and behaves the same way, it becomes a set of roughly €120 rather than €170. That is an observation about comparable sets, not a forecast — a licensed DC set may be stocked by fewer shops, and fewer shops means smaller discounts.

Should you pre-order?

For the two Batmobiles, there is no price reason to. Pre-ordering at LEGO.com means paying RRP for sets whose closest equivalents are a third cheaper within months. The reasons to buy on day one are the usual ones — a gift-with-purchase you want, Insiders points, or simply not wanting to wait.

For The Joker, the case for waiting is stronger still, because the starting price is high. The exception is if you want it on the wall in January: there is no telling how quickly other shops will list it.

LEGO.com currently limits each set to three per customer.

A new set-number range

One detail collectors will notice: these are numbered 67008, 67009 and 67012. LEGO's DC sets have used 76xxx numbers for years — September's Batman Returns Batmobile is 76355. LEGO has not explained the change.
