Three Dutch shops are level at €79.99. bol got there on 21 September and DreamLand followed on 30 September with a €15.00 cut. A matched price across competing shops is a better sign than a single outlier: it usually means the price is a deliberate promotion rather than a pricing error that disappears the next day.
Not everything is moving down. In the same six weeks 5 shops raised their price by €5 or more — Amazon.fr by €16.00 and Cdiscount by €27.00 among them — so which country you buy from matters more than usual. France is currently the expensive place to buy this set; the Netherlands and Germany are the cheap ones.
The lowest price we have recorded
€72.19, at Amazon.fr on 25 June 2026 — the same Amazon.fr that now asks €95.99.
Today's €79.99 is €7.80 above that. For a set in its first year, 33% off is already a strong discount: across everything we track, sets still in production sit about 30% below RRP at their cheapest shop. This one is slightly better than typical, at three shops at once.

LEGO Art sets are built largely from very small elements, so they always look cheap per piece next to the rest of the catalogue — compare them with each other. In this table it is the lowest figure there is, ahead of sets with twice the RRP.

What you build
Unlike the flat mosaics LEGO Art started with, this is a shadow box: a black lacquer-style frame with gold corner details, about 39 cm high, 35 cm wide and 6 cm deep, with the scene built in relief inside it.
The landscape is a composite of traditional Japanese motifs rather than a copy of one artwork — LEGO cites the Ukiyo-e printmakers as the inspiration. It has Mount Fuji, a teahouse, a bridge, flying cranes, and three kinds of tree: cherry blossom, 'Sango-Kaku' maple and Japanese umbrella pine.

The detail that sets it apart is the waterfall, which flows beyond the frame. There are two ways to display the set. Hung on a wall, the water pours straight down out of the picture. Stood on a shelf or desk, the waterfall can be adjusted so that it spills forward onto the surface instead.
